Beth Parsons obtained her BS Ed. from University of Georgia in 1974. She obtained her M.Ed. from Columbus College
in 1976. She is certified in all areas of special education. From 1974 to 1984, she taught orthopedically handicapped children
for Muscogee County School district. For the next 20 years (1984-2004) she was Director of The Achievement Academy, which
was a school for children with learning disorders and ADHD. Beth holds memberships in American Association of Educators
and is a long time Rotarian. She is active musically, playing flute and winds for the St. Luke Methodist Church Orchestra
and Columbus Community Orchestra. She is a member of St. Luke Methodist Church. Beth is married with 3 grown children. In
2012, Beth published The Parent Book, which provides practical advice for parents of young children, incorporating
her years in the field of education. This book is ideal for group discussion and any young parent seeking bits of wisdom
and advice. The Parent Book is available for sale at Counseling Psychology Associates for ten dollars.
